October Treats

Cardigan: Primark; £15
Hand Warmer;Primark £1
Tomb Raider; Game £25
Zoella bath Fizz; Superdrug; £5
Pandora Charm;Pandora £35

With the Autumn weather fast approaching I treated myself to a few little goodies to make the cold weather more bearable.

I've been after a fluffy cardigan for a while now, Something to snuggle up in and hibernate from the wind and rain, and was so happy when I found this one for £15! I also found this adorable little owl hand warmer. Working nights, it can be horrible when walking to and from work in the cold and dark and I thought this would be the perfect little pocket accessory to keep me warm.

Now, it's time to admit it, to come clean and let you know my secret. I'm addicted to baths. More than that, I'm addicted to bath products. Bombs, bubbles, bars, salts. Even more so now that the cold weather is coming in. So I had to have the Zoella fizz bar. It smells so good and I'm so excited to try it out.

I also picked up Tomb Raider for my PS4. I have got the game for another platform but wanted something to play while I'm twiddling my thumbs waiting for The Evil Within to come out. I brought it pre-owned (my first time buying so) and it judders, it judders a lot. Devastated.

The last thing I picked up was a new charm for my Pandora bracelet. The only thing I love more than baths is my little polar bear (My Westie) so I picked up a little dog charm.

Summer Series | Rome

So its officially autumn. The end of the sunshine (as sunny as the UK can be anyway) season has me looking back over the past few months. Summer of '14 has been one of the craziest and busiest times of my life. Rome, graduation, festivals and gigs have made it a summer to remember. Because of this, and my lack of blogging for months, I had idea to start a 'Summer Series' where I basically reminisce on all of the amazing time I have had. Now there is a genuine worry that this may lead to me crying in to a pillow and screaming 'TAKE ME BACK!!', but it's also an excuse to look though all of my photos and relive all of my memories.

I kicked off my summer by jumping on that little bird and jetting off to Rome for the week with my sister. Only a few hours after landing I had decided that this was the best place on earth and where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. We spend the week visiting amazing places such as the Vatican, the Colosseum, Pompeii, Naples, the Trevi fountain and the Sistine Chapel. I was hooked. The architecture, the history, the food, the fashion, the men....I never wanted to leave. What more could you want then spending the day looking at amazing historical sites at the evening with a fro-yo in hand shopping and listening to the local street musicians.

Choosing a few of my favourite places to write about is so difficult but I have to say that nothing took my breath away like the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters Basilica did. Floor to ceiling artworks done by some of the greats, Michelangelo, Raphael, Di Vinci, Bellini to name just a small fraction. But it was more than the sculptures, the paintings, the architecture and the scale. It was the feeling that this is such an important place with secrets and huge religious and historical importance. But in all honesty, the whole of Rome has this same magical feeling.

I truly believe no other place will capture my heart like Rome has.

Goddamn creatures of the night.

My favourite time of the year is over :(. As much as I love Christmas with the snow and the cold nights snuggled under a blanket nothing beats lighting candles getting your friends around and watching horror movies with a pizza. The week leading up to  Halloween consisted of (as many students will know) an obscene about of parties and a ton of amazing inventive costumes mixed with a copious amount of alcohol (any excuse to drink) while Halloween night was spent with my flat mates and my sister (it's our family tradition to watch The Crow and eat toffee apples) watching movies and telling ghost stories. I have to admit that I probably get too obsessed with Halloween. I spend way too much time and money on costumes but it's the one time of year when you can be absolutely anyone you want (most people, it seems, want to be slutty cats. what's that about?!?!)
So im left in a conundrum... why designate just one day a year to dress up uninhibited??

First Entry

So I figured introducing myself would be the best way to start. I'm new to the whole blogging scene. I've always followed blogs but never given a thought to having one myself. I have always had the opinion of "who would want to read a blog about a student who spends her time singing, reading comics, going to see bands that no one has ever heard of and taking pictures of her dog?!" Recently I have been thinking about starting a small business, something small that I can manage while at university and I figured blogging would be a good place to get inspiration, feedback, and also a good way for me and my followers to keep tabs on the progress of this. Don't worry, this isn't a marketing blog, there will still  be plenty of pictures of my adorable Westie Puppy Myles. The plan is to find a happy balance between that and a lifestyle blog.
